Our founder, Wayne Sobey, brings a background in ultrasonic engineering and decades of experience in turf and water-related industries. With a history of designing advanced ultrasonic welding systems for difficult-to-bond polymers like PET, Wayne’s fascination with ultrasonic energy was reignited when exploring non-chemical methods to combat recurring algae blooms across lakes, dams, golf courses, and treated reuse systems in Australia.


After extensive global research into ultrasonic systems, Wayne discovered SonicPure LLC , a U.S.-based company delivering precisely the kind of results he was looking for—intelligent, data-driven, and measurable algae control using proprietary multi-frequency ultrasound combined with real-time sensing and cloud analytics.
