Precision Ultrasound for Algae & Biofilm Remediation. The Pulsar Family is the first ultrasonic algae-mitigation system to target algae and biofilm with the highest frequencies on the market.

SonicPure Pulsar

Ultrasonic algae and biofilm control without chemicals

The SonicPure Pulsar 4400 is a fourth-generation ultrasonic algae control device designed to target algae and biofilm using precisely tuned sound waves.

With 360-degree coverage, 4,400 frequencies, solar compatibility and fish-safe operation, the Pulsar 4400 provides a low-maintenance, chemical-free approach to restoring water clarity and supporting healthier aquatic environments.

Pulsar 4400

Fourth-generation ultrasonic technology

The Pulsar 4400 is designed to transmit ultrasonic waves through the water column, targeting algae and biofilm at their source. These sound waves interfere with algae buoyancy control, causing cells to sink below the light zone where they naturally decline.

Unlike chemical treatments, Pulsar 4400 does not rely on dosing or broad-spectrum biocides. It is designed to restore water clarity while remaining safe for fish, zooplankton and aquatic plants when installed and operated correctly.

Key Pulsar 4400 features

  • 360° coverage targets algae and biofilm in all directions.
  • 4,400 frequencies help target different algae types.
  • Solar compatible for remote and off-grid installations.
  • Safe for fish and plants when correctly installed and operated.
  • Chemical-free algae and biofilm control.

How It Works

Targeting algae through buoyancy disruption

Algae need access to light to remain competitive. Pulsar 4400 uses ultrasonic sound waves to interfere with the algae’s ability to regulate buoyancy. As affected cells lose position in the water column, they sink away from the light zone and naturally die off.

This makes Pulsar 4400 a valuable option for sites where algae, cyanobacteria, biofilm, surface scums, odour, filter blockages or recurring bloom conditions are creating water quality problems.

Suitable applications

  • Lakes and ornamental ponds
  • Dams and reservoirs
  • Golf course water bodies
  • Wastewater lagoons
  • Agricultural and irrigation storages
  • Aquaculture and fish-safe water applications
Large Waterbody Support

Designed for practical field deployment

Pulsar 4400 can be configured for different waterbody shapes, depths and site conditions. For remote locations, the low-power design can be paired with solar power to support off-grid operation.

Algae Control Australia can assist with site assessment, placement, power options and integration into a broader water quality program where nutrient control or biological support is also required.

What we need to assess your site

  • Waterbody dimensions and approximate surface area
  • Average and maximum depth
  • Photos, drone images or site maps
  • Known algae type or water test results, if available
  • Power availability or need for solar power
  • Current issues such as scums, odour, biofilm, poor clarity or filter blockages
Correct Placement Matters

Site-specific design for Australian waterbodies

Ultrasonic algae control performs best when the correct unit placement, coverage pattern, depth profile and power supply are matched to the site. Every waterbody is different, so a basic sizing and layout review is recommended before installation.

For high-nutrient waterbodies, Pulsar 4400 may also be combined with nutrient binding, beneficial bacteria support, or aeration depending on the cause of the bloom pressure.
